The Dawoodi Bohras are a Muslim community living in over 40 countries across the world. Followers of their leader, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, Bohras are generally well educated, business people and qualified professionals in various fields. With a distinctive culture, they strive to embrace modernity while staying true to their traditions and continue to be active, peaceful and law abiding citizens dedicated to the betterment of all humanity.
The present leader is the 53rd al-Dai al-Mutlaq, His Holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin. Syedna Saifuddin assumed office in January 2014, succeeding his father and predecessor, the 52nd al-Dai al-Mutlaq, His Holiness Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin..
Practicing Monotheism, we Bohras strongly believe in Allah Taʿala (the one true God) and in the Holy Quran as the word of Allah.
We Bohris strive to always adhere to religious practices ordained by the sharia, including reciting the Holy Quran, praying five times a day, and fasting during Ramadan.
United in thought and action, our community is guided by the Dai al-Mutlaq, the sole representative of the Imam. Our current leader is the 53rd al-Dai al-Mutlaq.
